Clarkson Transfer Scholarship Awarded to Onondaga Student

Joshua Siddall, of Camillus, was recently awarded the Clarkson University Transfer Leadership Award. Through this award, Siddall earns a scholarship of $11,000 per year to study at Clarkson University.

Siddall is a math/science major with a 3.9 grade point average. He is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society for two-year colleges. After graduating from Onondaga this spring, he will transfer to Clarkson University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Professor Janet Hamly, co-chair of Onondaga’s counseling department nominated Siddall. “Josh is an outstanding young man who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and academic ability. He is very deserving of this honor.”

The Transfer Leadership Award is presented to only one student from each participating school. “This award is our highest honor at the University,” said Trish L. Dobbs, director of transfer admissions at Clarkson. “We are pleased that Onondaga Community College is one of our participating schools and we look forward to welcoming Joshua to our campus this fall.”
