Orange Hills undefeated again, repeats as champs
    Tulsa breaks four-way tie to take Challenger Division title 

Orange Hills Assembly of Orange, California has done it again, going undefeated to win their second consecutive Teen Bible Quiz National Championship. The Orange "crush" blew by almost every opponent they faced during 19 roundsof the 2003 "Final 40," scoring nearly twice as many points as any other team. First Assembly of San Angelo, Texas finished second after a playoff against Monroeville (PA) Assembly, with Fond du Lac (WI) Assembly placing fourth.

The individual quizzer standings were much closer, as Zach Sullivan of Sangelo edged out David Dorey of Orange Hills by a mere five points, 2,010 to 2,005. Tyler Turnage of Fond du Lac finished third.

The Challenger Division was not nearly as clear-cut as the Championship--round-robin play ended with a four-way tie for first place. After two rounds of playoffs, Christian Chapel of Tulsa, OK took the division title over The Church at Briargate, Colorado Springs, CO. The #1 team from Tacoma Life Center, Tacoma, WA tied with Calvary Assembly, Toledo, OH after losing their playoff round.

In the individual standings, Becky York of Cornerstone Assembly in Bowie, MD edged Mary Pace of Colorado Springs by just thirty points, 1,850 to 1,820. Lydia Butay of Tulsa was third.

In the Individual Tournament, Peter Brown of Orange Hills was the winner, followed by April Pryor of Fossil Creek Community Church in Fort Worth, TX in in second place, Logan Newman of Central Assembly, Superior, WI third, and Jonathan Galliers of First Assembly in Lexington, KY in fourth place. The quoting Bee was won by Jed Gosnell of Tacoma, with Michelle Lowry of Ellsworth (Maine) Assembly finishing second. (Michelle was entered as a regional qualifier--a quizzer whose team did not make it to Nationals, but who finished in the top ten individuals in her region.) Johnathan Galliers placed third.
